Schengen Visa Application in Turkey Update, New Rules 2020

The Schengen visa used for entry in 22 European Union member states has received new conditions to apply. In addition, the requirement to apply 3 months in advance for visa has increased to 6 months.
.
Visa fees for countries other than Croatia, Ireland, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Romania have increased by 20 euros. Some conditions other than the raise and duration were also facilitated.
.
.
IMPLEMENTED FROM 2 FEBRUARY 2020
.
Innovations in visas received by citizens of 105 countries around the world were reported to all member states by regulation dated 20 June 2019, following changes made by the EU in regulation 810/2009 and passed by the commission in 2018. The amendments, ratified by Lithuania as the last member state, were implemented from February 2, 2020.

.
With the recent changes, higher visa fees will be charged, while long-term visas will start from one year and a maximum of 5-year visas will be issued.
.
.
Innovations introduced with the latest visa regulation were:
.
.

MULTI-ENTRY RIGHT TO THE PERSON WITHOUT PROBLEMS
.
With the innovations, the duration of stay in EU member states is based on whether a person has problems with their previous visas and entry and exit.

.
Accordingly, people who have traveled a lot, who have not had a problem with their visa or staying in their countries will be given a multi-entry, long-stay justifiable visa, which will gradually increase. Such visas will start from 1 year and May last up to 5 years.
.
.
HIGHER VISA FEE
.
The number for visa applications has been increased since 2006. The visa will now be paid 80 euros instead of 60 euros. This money will be taken from adults, children under the age of 6 will be exempt from the visa fee as before. For children aged 6-12, 5 euros will be charged with a further 40 euros. However, member states may not charge a visa fee for children between the ages of 6-18 if they wish.

.
.
WHICH COUNTRY WILL IT APPLY TO?
.
For Turkish nationals and Non-Turkish nationals to apply for the Schengen Visa from within Turkey and will visit more than one Schengen country, he or she should apply to the Schengen country where he or she will spend the most time.

.
If equal time is to be spent in these countries, an application must be made to the consulates in Turkey of the first country to be visited. Visa forms can be issued in electronic media. An exception to this important ease was also introduced. If the person needs a fingerprint, he has to go to the consulate and give a fingerprint.
.
.
VISA BY COUNTRY’S ATTITUDE
.
The attitude of the visa applicant’s country in the Readmission Agreement will also be effective on the visa. According to this section, which gives the Schengen countries wide powers, if a country has trouble getting its citizen back from the Schengen country illegally, the process of issuing visas to that country may become difficult.
.
Time restrictions may be imposed or multi-entry visas may be avoided. In addition, citizens of this country could be asked for higher wages and the approval process could be extended.
.
.
NO THREE-MONTH APPLICATION REQUIREMENT
.
There was an obligation to apply for a Schengen visa three months in advance. This period can be between three months and six months. In other words, it can be applied six months in advance and the answer to the visa will be given within about 15 days.
.
The aim was to enable people to plan their travels and to get cheaper travel opportunities in the longer term. Seafarers can apply 9 months before their arrival in the EU member state.
.
.
TRAVEL INSURANCE ISSUE
.
Travel insurance is mandatory for Schengen visa applicants. However, with the last amendment, this condition was tried to be softened and made optional.
.
Multiple entry visa holders will only need to demonstrate that they have adequate and valid travel health insurance covering the initial planned stay. This rule will also appear on the application form.
